Just a couple of observations:
- the first row of Eco class is configured in the 2+3 so that the aisle does not suddenly get smaller immediately behind the curtain - this would represent a danger in an emergency where a passenger moving towards the back of the aircraft may be surprised by the extra 1/2 seat 'sticking out'.
- with regards to the 'smaller' middle seat - is the reference being made to the fact that on the port side, when configured 3x3, the middle seat really is only about 3/4th of a seat - this is done so that the unit can be compressed to get the 2x3 configuration? I was on a flight back from Budapest last weekend and I heard several people complain that their middle seat was very small. This of course only affects the convertible seating - the real Eco class seats are all of equal size.
Cheers
