Your choice is
  1. book with AA, pay their price, and use the vouchers
  2. book with JL, pay their price, and not use the vouchers
I can't see any way to get the best of both worlds here. Notice also that some of the flight numbers are different, not surprisingly, so what you earn will be different. If you care about that, that's another thing to factor into your choice.
