Attempted to check in online for a flight tomorrow morning that I had upgraded using a BXP1 upgrade certificate. Was surprised when I could not do so. In the olden days (OK last year), this made sense as AA needed to collect my certificate. But now there are now physical certificates, so why can't I check in online?

Do I need to bring a print out of my upgrade certificate confirmations?
