As gr8pirate and SFOTraveler1984 had mentioned, the reason of your flight being cancelled is the MAX fleet being grounded, there are no current issues with Istanbul Airport.
If your flight was next week, I would check the passenger rights of SHGM ( Turkish Directorate of Civil Aviation ) as you might be eligible for compensation of 100€ per person.
