Got it. I misunderstood the initial post and mistakenly thought you were routing from WN to DL, not the other way around. Did you book the WN flight with points? If so you can get your points back if you miss it. Seems like you already have all your bases covered, and this is actually a pretty good idea overall. You'll probably make it anyway.
