The brutal truth about aisle width

“Sitting in an aisle seat proved to be an assaulting experience on the 14 hour journey out of Sydney as I was repeatedly sideswiped, hit, knocked, bumped and, as happened on three occasions, even sat on. Then there were the times the meal trolley smashed into my arm, once so badly the crew member offered me a frozen can of soft drink to put on my elbow to numb the pain.”

I have no idea why people stick their feet and elbows out into the aisle with the expectation that it’s safe to do so.
