Unfortunately, I am in a similar situation as those above. My phone accidentally slipped out of my pocket on my flight from Kathmandu to Istanbul. I realized so after passing through security again but only had about 30min before my flight back to the US took off, so was unable to retrieve it. I have been in contact with TA and they have it at the lost and found office. I was going to try to get an international courier to pick it up and send it, but reading all of these messages it sounds like having an individual do so might be best.
