Porto is certainly the star among the Portuguese Interconinentals. Lisbon is solid, rather than spectacular.
The (Monte) Estoril hotel might fit the bill for a short stay, but it's small without being in any way boutique, and in an awkward location. Cascais, down the road offers the superb Albatross.
