Two days ago! I brought out my almost two year old ticket and had the Conductor go at it, punching out my last 4 rides. And then charge me $7.50 to ride on a Sunday.
I have four viable options to ride Metra from where I live, two in my home town of New Lenox. It all depends on where I'm going downtown, and what day. SW Service and Joliet Service are limited or none existent on Sundays. Obviously, I am am not a work commuter. I carry -or used to carry- 3 10 ride tickets. I ride Metra to be a train docent with private car owners, RR clubs and the South Shore. So you can be sure this has infuriated me.
I vow to never ride the Rock Island line- at least for a year! Metra needs friends. They have made a bitter enemy of a good supporter!
