That may be the problem right there. It seems like most of the time I go through the lobby there are two (and often three) agents there just shooting the breeze.
A few times now, I've missed a connection because I got no help and nobody was at the gate to provide replacement boarding passes. But when I went back out through security to the lobby, I found 3 GS agents there doing nothing.
