Pucci, I love your stories and your wit, but i can't agree with this comment. I have NEVER had a PDB on BA short haul and only missed out a few times on the dozens of AA flights I've had in their domestic first. 90-95% of the AA crews have been good or great but we'll all agree that no one is perfect and both AA and BA have a few bad apples (or maybe good apples having bad days).
Sorry Honey - no PDBs are never served on BA because of the problem about opening the bars because of H M Customs rules in the UK. As for AA, all that I can add is that in the 30 or so flights with them this year, I’d honestly say that less than 50% had anything and probably half of that actually gave full service. Like anything, it’s as one finds it.
