Hoping the experts can help me figure this out. I booked a flight on Air Canada through United (YUL-EWR) so I would get MileagePlus points. Weather is awful and 5 flights to the northeast have been canceled (AC and AA) while I have been sitting at the gate.

United would have offered free rebooking 24h ago. AC is a mess, they are still saying the flight is on time even though the plane isn’t here yet and we are supposed to take off in 20 minutes.

Obviously the flight is going to be canceled so I want to get a head start on rebooking.

My question is, can I do it through United? The less I have to do with AC the better!
