i will be transiting IST to US and hope to pick up some duty free liquor. I have read elsewhere here that some airports/airlines will not allow any >100ml duty free for US flights even if in sealed tamper-proof bags.

Does this liquids restriction hold for TK and IST. I did notice extra gate hand luggage checks at IST for US flights so don't want to find out the hard way.

https://www.turkishairlines.com/en-u...age/index.html says they are not allowed for flights *transiting via* the US, but doesn't say anything about a TK flight that terminates in the US.
