You're telling me. Slave to their routing I guess. When I booked it months ago, SAN-CUN wasn't even an option on the Friday we were traveling. Now WN shows 1 flight, a 9pm ETD, 3hr layover in SAT, and 8am ETA at CUN... At least our CUN-LAX return is direct.

Painful no matter how you slice it I guess.
