DL offers a non-stop from MSP, but when I have priced various routes, I have always found that flying Any Domestic Airline to LAX, spending the night in a lower-end airport hotel, and then going on to Tokyo is always cheaper than DL's nonstop by about three hundred to four hundred dollars.

A nonstop would be nice, but not THAT nice.
