I'm flying economy to Barcelona next week from Ottawa with a layover in Toronto on Westjet and I am seeking clarification on whether or not at least free one meal is included. All I could find on Westjet's website is:
https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/travel...t/buy-on-board
Boeing 787 flights to and from Europe:
- For our guests flying internationally – on our 787 Dreamliner - you’ll be provided with complimentary food and beverages.
AND
Flights over 4 Hours:
- Purchase market-fresh menu items
- Hot meals are available for purchase on select aircraft
The 7 hour 45 minute flight from YYZ-BCN and return trip is on a Boeing 767-300.
So it seems like I'm SOL for getting a free meal because I booked an European international itinerary with a smaller aircraft. Seems kind of ridiculous that an airlines policy of whether or not you get a free meal is based on the type of aircraft you fly on an European international itinerary.
