I try to avoid the old LH C class whenever I can. Better service on LH makes not up for the poor seat. I actually like the DL BE seat for sleeping on night flights (CVG to FRA). Nearly flat and tons of legroom. Flying from SFO to FRA I buy C (or D) and upgrade to F on LH. I actually do that this weekend. I am looking forward to try the new C seats on LH which should be better than the DL seats. On a day flight I guess old LH C is bearable, but keep in mind the routing. I prefer flying DL over LH if it is non stop. hope this helps.
