Bill Murray has an entire thing about the old line golfers getting used to the Bluetooth speakers so that the game of golf can be viable for the next generation.
I play most of my golf at clubs that don't allow shorts, let alone Bluetooth speakers blasting Top 40 country, but I don't get all bent out of shape when I'm on a muni track and there is a speaker in every golf cart. I say lowest handicap gets to choose the station/playlist.
Don't play Castle Pines or Flying Horse, we are strict as well. Meanwhile my kids are on the course every evening, only after golf is over for those that played. They are on the golf team, which is maybe why I'm not yelled at via the HOA or the management of the course.
Back on topic, I still think it's rude to play a movie or music on the airplane without earphones.
