The Weather Channel also did a bit on Storm Stories tonight about a guy that was kayaking from the Big Island to Maui and encountered an unexpected storm in the Alenuihaha Channel that stranded him 30 miles out to sea. I didn't catch the end but they were interviewing him so he must have made it.
