Do you go for the special meal option (if yes which one - diabetic or low calorie)? Or do you stick with the normal meal?
I have tried various special meals - including Kosher, Jain, and Hilal - but I must always control intake of carbs. I dislike the "diabetic" specials on all airlines, and they are NOT a panacea for good blood sugar control.
Also, my body seems to "like" reds more than whites, and while I enjoy champas in the Galleries when at T5, or in Bus class, I always check my blood sugar level within the hour and take Humulog when necessary.
