I don’t have experience with LX, but from your description, it sounds very similar to LH - and I agree, while the dishes are well prepared, they don’t at all constitute a full meal (at least not on shorter routes like LHR-FRA), whereas BA’s offering is enough to replace a meal (at least for me).

It’s been a few years since I flew OS, but I actually recall thinking that the meal (early afternoon, I think) was decent in size and high in quality. This would have been CPH-VIE, if I’m not mistaken.
