I would highly suggest Amanera. Especially since you want to golf. Pretty stunning and private course.
You can get the two bedroom bay view casa, if you'd prefer to be together.
not sure when you're going but if it's still during Season of Discovery then that's a great value.

Had clients stay a couple weeks ago and no issues with food safety at all. Enjoyed it. I think the issues were all with the low end all inclusive resorts.
