Positioning flights - is same day okay?
Hi,

Apologies if the question is dumb, I’m not a frequent flyer at all...

I’m looking to book an ex-EU QR fare for the first time.

It would depart at 16:00 and BA has a flight arriving on same day at 10:00.

I have noticed most frequent flyers prefer to arrive the day before. Is it because if I miss the flight then travel insurance could want me to take a non-OW carrier which means bye to TP’s?

For the return flight I see on other threads and sites that most people take it on the same date.
