Hey guys.
i've been more than 20 times in Istanbul visiting (great city), but it will be my first time landing at the New airport.
So the question is, if my flight lands at 11:00 and the next flight departs at 19:15, travelling business with Turkish airlines ( so i have priority access) is it possible to go to Sisli and Taksim?
Is it better to take the bus to Haciosman station and metro from there?
You would have time to go to the Şişli and Taksim area but I would suggest that you leave the city center around 16:00-16:30 just in case of heavy traffic. I wouldn't suggest you to use the bus line to Hacıosman ( H-8 ) because it's a long detour up north and would take about 45 minutes only to go to Hacıosman. ( H-2 ) the bus to Mecidiyeköy would be more efficient as it would only take 35-40 minutes without traffic or another option would be to use the Havaist bus IST-19 to Taksim which would take around 45-50 minutes.
Tagging on to this thread opportunistically -- is there a good current reference link about the public transport options to/from the new airport?

As public transportation lines have been modified more than 5 times since the grand movement in April, I am not sure if there's a reference link that shows all the current options.
However, I could help you with public transportation to/from Istanbul Airport.
