Yosemite place names restored
The silly fight over historic place names in Yosemite NP appears to be over and the good guys have prevailed. After a court ruling this week, the National Park Service has been awarded the right to use historical place and attraction names that had been subject to "copyright" actions taken by a disgruntled former concessionaire. As of this morning, the Ahwanee and Wawona hotels, Curry Village Camp and other historic names are being replaced or painted over the ridiculous "substitute" names they were given when the suit was filed.
Nobody actually used the "new" names anyway.
