Not to get too far off topic, but I dont ever see this being more than a niche product.
Self driving cars are 90% there, and soon all cars will communicate with each other. Once cars talk to each other, traffic will be smoother, less accidents, faster response.
And cars are the only thing that solves the last mile problem.
Tough to argue this won't be a niche product but Airbus seems to be dumping some serious cash into this. I suspect they will operate at a loss for AT LEAST a year (more likely longer). Having said that my wife who is sick of commuting to the bay area airports wants to try there service ASAP. She works out of both Marin and The Valley and flies for business constantly so she fits the perfect pax demographic for Voom.
