i think it's a good thread and helps to establish a correct expectation. As I’m sure many of the other crew contributors will probably agree, on numerous occasions we receive demands for things from higher cabins stating “the crew on my last flight did it”, maybe they did, but some things are a basic entitlements and others are a bonus gestures.
Which was pretty much why I asked in the first place. When the woman next to me rejected the initial peppermint tea offered and asked for the one from 1st class instead, and was given a selection of chocolates from the club kitchen, it did start me thinking was there Gold benefits I wasn't aware of. (I only reached Gold for the first time this April) Given I normally aim for WT+ and only upgrade if I can get any 'special treatment', why not
