Looks like Delta is indeed now using VbV. Which is unfortunate. Literally just said screw it and bought a ticket from another airline because of this. I am on a plane at the moment, I can't call the VbV phone number.

I am so angry at both Chase and Delta. I am probably going to cancel my Chase card - I go through this crap at least once a month and I'm done with it. A lot of times for small purchases (some as small as $50!). And I'm frustrated with Delta as well (really? you want to do secondary credit card authorization on someone who spends $50K a year on you, a significant portion of which is using that same card that you're asking now to get secondary verification).
