Okay, so if I understand correctly, we will now get 1500 miles (+ 25% elite bonus) for each airrail sector.
So a round-trip costing 80 euros (for QKL) gives 3750 miles total for an elite. These miles also count as status miles.
On the other hand, if miles were bought directly from LH then they cost
EURO MILES UNTIL SEPTEMBER
€ 60,00 2,600 Miles
€ 110,00 5,200 Miles
€ 155,00 7,800 Miles
€ 200,00 10,400 Miles
€ 240,00 13,000 Miles
So am I correct in thinking that the ONLY advantage of airrail would now be for those who want status miles in order to qualify/renew status. (Well, besides actually wanting to travel b/w QKL/FRA/ZWS that is

)
The demise of evouchers linked to 50k now reduces the relevance of status miles anyways.
So the big question:
Do the miles alone justify airrail MR's anymore...
(The reason I ask is because I'm going to Koln next wknd and may have some free time for a couple of trips to FRA. So is it worth it. I already have over 200k status miles this year so qualification is not an issue.)
