I have a DC eligibility question: I flew WAW-DXB-BNE (Bus Saver) back in April this year and about a month before the flight spotted the Dubai Connect optionin manage my booking (wasn't listed when making the booking itself), which I promptly booked and ended up staying at the Meridian. Am not sure why DC was even offered, as there was an earlier connection inDXB available for my continuing BNE flight. I've currently booked the same route for November adn Dubai Connect is not available for the DXB-BNE segment - any ideas why it was available previously and not now? Thoughts?
Technical glitch most likely. I had the exact same issue flying from Edinburgh to Shanghai last year, even although there was an earlier connection available from Dubai, I opted for the later departure from Dubai so it got me into Shanghai at a reasonable local time. In doing so, I still managed to get a hotel in Dubai at no cost to me. When I phoned up for a date change a few days after my booking, the advisor on the phone i would lose my hotel, but after processing the new date change even he was surprised and told me "sir, you still have the hotel" lol.
