Per flightstats, it was changed from a 789 to 788 as of 3am local. Doesn't have as much detail as US carriers on tail numbers (first tail number assignment shown is at about 645 pm)

Also we know if a sight like FR24 lists an AC flight #, it often lists its registration #, for eg. on the Air Canada Fleet Page, you will see both the Fin # and the Registration.
