Planes not on the website

Last Thursday, I stood by for an earlier flight on the Shuttle from LGA to DCA. I was scheduled to fly on an Embraer ERJ-175 @ 10 a.m. and got an earlier ERJ-175 @ 9 a.m. However, the 10 a.m. plane, which I saw out the window as we taxied to the runway, was either an A319 or A320 ( I couldn't distinguish the differences) but nowhere on the website are Airbuses flying between these two cities.
On Friday, I stood by for an earlier flight on the Shuttle from DCA to LGA.I was scheduled to fly on an Embraer ERJ-175 @ 4 p.m a.m. and got an earlier ER-170 @ 3 p.m. The AA website shows the 3 p.m. flight to be an ERJ-175. Nowhere does it indicate that ER-170s fly between these two cities.
American Way shows all American Aircraft but there is no Embraer 170 on the list.
Can anyone explain these discrepancies?
