Which is worth more: the extra year of CP and 40k (or whatever the SUB is then) or keeping a 5/24 slot. That answer varies person to person. If s/he's 4/24 (and won't drop lower by the end of the year), I'd say a sapphire or another non-SW Chase card is probably better than another SW card. But at 1/24, yeah, why not burn a slot. If the travel you want to do in the next 2 years is in SW's coverage zone, and you'll nearly always have a companion traveling with you, then the extra year of CP is probably better. Unless you'll be back under 5/24 around Oct-Dec 2020, in which case get the CP now, and get it again in Jan 2021 to give yourself all of 2021 and 2022 of CP. Lots of possibilities to consider....
