Back from a trip to France involving 3 design hotels. De Tourrel, Roches Rouges, Five Seas. All are truly excellent hotels, we loved them. LRR is in a stunning location with incredible views. There is nothing really within walking distance so a car is recommended. However, the food at the hotel is great, La Terrasse has one star and we thought the meal was stunning, one of our best in what was quite a foodie trip. The other restaurant is laid-back and pleasant with a large inside and outside area. We were on a points stay and the hotel was at capacity, so no upgrade. The room was small but actually we found it fine, though the shower is tiny with only a curtain and not much room to turn around. Great balcony overlooking the sea and this made the room feel much larger. I thought initially 5 nights might be a challenge but not at all. Breakfast is great and included in the points stay. Excellent and very large buffet, with eggs made to order (really good) at no extra cost. One of the best breakfasts we have had. The hotel itself is very cool and attracts a stylish crowd, but is also very quiet and relaxing - not a party place at all. We spent most days lounging around, two nice pools (though the seawater pool had a problem when we were there so wasn't great) and you can easily swim in the sea from their dock. Staff are very friendly, warm and genuine (while also being very good looking and cool). A great stay and an excellent use of points at high season. Highly recommend it, we would go back.
