How about a 1st class Oneworld around the world (RTW) ticket? The necessary four continents ticket is $8,500 from the USA, only $6,795 from Canada. This has some limits, 10 day minimum, and you would have to come back across the Pacific, most likely using Cathay Pacific.

The Cathay option is really not a bad one at all, although the thought of traversing the Pacific Ocean sounds ominous the flight times between the two are actually pretty comparable. And Cathay has a very good reputation in 1st. Just make sure you select a flight JNB-HKG on a 747, the alternate a 340 on that route. Plus you get to spend some time in The Wing at Hong Kong, not a bad thing at all.
