I used one of my Category 1-4 certificate here earlier this week - really short stay so only a few comments:
  • Booked and received a double-bed room, no Globalist upgrade that I could tell
  • My usual hotel is Herald Square but I booked this due to the Category 1-4 certificate. My room was definitely larger than an equivalent room at Herald Square - there was actually room to walk around the two-bedded room which is not really true at Herald Square. The toiletries were nice and in general I thought the furnishings were a little nicer than Herald Square.
  • In terms of Globalist amenities, the ($9!!) water bottles in the room were free, and I received a small box of cookies from the hotel restaurant a few minutes after arriving. I only tried one of the cookies, but it was delicious. I left before breakfast started so can't comment on it.
  • No noise from adjacent rooms or from the street, there was a little noise from a rattling air conditioner in the room but it didn't bother me too much.
  • The location is great for convenience to the subway and many restaurants and shops, I would certainly stay here again and it's great to have a Category 4 option in Manhattan.
