This is paywalled, but from the part that's visible it sounds like the retailers' anti-EMV lawsuit isn't going well. Will need to read the actual court filings to find out more.

I just got my card activated again. I will be glad to get it as I will be going overseas next month. Had a problem with the bank declining the topup. Got it resolved.
I still have my old one, though it's expired. It'll be interesting to find out how contactless behaves on the new one (as in, whether PIN's supported for purchases over the limit at all or not).
