What I'm trying to work out is - am I better off staying with QRPC and (trying) to use QMiles on AA/BA, or should I now start switching earnings on QR metal to AA? Trying to maximize the strategy - which way will get me more personal flights for the miles earned?
Are you still doing the USA MidEast flights and will they continue?
Do you earn ff miles for credit card spend? Many frequent flyer programs are morphing into frequent spender programs
What are you objectives form a ffp? Just award flights?

Earning double the qualifying QPoints requirement each year, IMHO you should have been crediting some of the extra flights to another ffp.

Several QR vs AA vs BA threads in post 2 here
