Well, yes and no. On AA, I was already lifetime PLT from years past and PLT PRO earned in 2018; so I really didn't have terribly far to go. Remember that EQDs are easy to come by when flying on OW partners. Once I had attained QRPC PLT, that's when I started crediting to AA in 2018, as I was already LT PLT, so why not? Also, I had qualified for a two year QRPC renewal in October of 2017. When I lose it this coming October, I'll particularly miss the LAX Flagship lounge admission that it gets me on domestic AA flights.

By what measure? If cost, the direct itinerary wins, of course. If miles/points earned, the RTW itinerary wins. It's basically an RTW MR. The one I'm currently flying (on hiatus right now, picking it up again next Wednesday) I'm actually using to go to a number of different places for no additional cost. So the places where I'll actually leave the airport ( !! ) for a few days or more are BOS, HPN, SXM, GSO, ICT.

Why not AA? I think that it's a better program.
