BA won’t cancel anything because you make another booking, but f there are any more flights on the BA ticket (eg a return to the USA) after the LHR-MAN sector, there is a very big downside to this plan. Missing the LHR-MAN sector would mean all remaining sectors on the ticket being cancelled.

If LHR-MAN is the last flight on the ticket, no major downside if no checked bags, apart from throwing away either the BA604 or the easyJet ticket, depending which option were flown.
