1L - right behind the lav. Daylight flight = heavier lav useage. Slightly bigger footwell, but will you need it on a daylight flight?
11L - Last row in J. Near the first to exit if they use Door 2L. Galley behind with lav behind that (more space between seat and lav than in row 1). View is away from the problem areas.
I think 11L wins, but not by much. From what I've heard, the 78J doesn't have the distinct winners and loosers that other planes have, other than odd-numbered window seats being superior to the others.
I'm on the LAX-EWR red-eye in mid AUG and am going to give 1L a shot. Better to try it and not like it on a 5-hour EB T-con than a 12 hour International flight. I will report my findings.
