My dad is platinum and will make an award reservation for him and my mother to fly US to Barbados in 2 months time.

The four people in my sister's family (no status) will make their own award reservation on same exact US to Barbados flights.

If my dad calls AA to "connect" the reservations will my sister be able to get all platinum benefits?
-2 free bags
-MCE
-elite check-in/boarding (less important)
-also, is there any award fee for booking two months out that platinums get waived?
-are there any other benefits I am missing?

So, the question is, will my sister's family get all benefits if my dad calls AA and asks to link? OR, is there any value/reason for my dad to make one reservation for all 6 people out of his FF account?
