By the way, if you are booking this as a roundtrip and plan on skipping the final MSP-YWG leg, it's actually a violation of the contract of carriage (hidden city ticketing). It's not something they typically go after people for violating, but it would probably dissuade many business flyers from engaging in it.
Yes, those prices - this will teach me for not planning ahead. Even though this is partly for business, I am still price sensitive, because I am self-employed.
I would not dream of skipping the last leg of the roundtrip, but thank you for telling me. It's not worth taking the chance. Plus - I travel with luggage, so it would not work anyway.
I have flown out of YWG before, but that was when I lived closer than I do now. And relatives have flown in and out of YWG because it didn't matter if I drove to pick them up in MSP or YWG; we never had any issues with immigration or customs when crossing the US border, but of course - that was by car and stil another hurdle to take into consideration. Actually my old mom was on her way to YWG on 9/11 and her flight was diverted to Gander!
Anyway, I think I will end up biting the bullet and skip the YWG idea, or maybe fly up the day before and stay overnight. It would probably still be cheaper.
Thank you all for your input - I really appreciate the ideas and thoughts.
