I've seen a few small air filters sized for cars and some for desks. Hotel and meeting rooms are a lot larger and probably need a floor standing model. Have you thought about shipping a purifier to the hotel or inquiring with the hotel(s)? I imagine they have some type of air filtering/deodorizing machine for rooms which were smoked in, had pets, "allergy free", or just malodorous.
A decent PM 2.5 face mask can help. I picked some up last year in Asia for California forest fires as it can get really hazy and they carry kids sizes (kids have a faster breathing pattern than adults). Also useful for pollen allergies. I happened to see face masks at my local Daiso in CA this last weekend.
