If you receive a successful fax-sent message that doesn't necessarily mean that we received it on our end in good enough condition to read. Either way you choose, nothing gets "lost in the shuffle". It may require more time than we would like depending on the work load or you may have to re-send a fax if it didn't come through legibly, but everything is queued up from oldest to latest and worked in order of when it was received.
However, faxing becomes a necessity if the total bill is over US$1,000 or you've made more than three undocumented requests in a 12-month period. None of our associates can post anything over US$1,000 without a hotel bill and each member is limited to having three undocumented missing stay requests posted per year. This is because of systems limitations, not because we don't trust our members.
