Ouch sounds nasty. My last 2 arrivals at JFK were on the BA1 and on a late flight with short connection so met at gate and escorted to kiosks, next CBP office for immigration and Customs. The problem is now with GE if you apply now due to the backlog in the US I doubt you’d get one now before the end of the year.
