I think the poster was linking only to hotels in the Luminous program. Those hotels sometimes offer the $100 credit.
I thought hotels in the Stars program always offer the $100 credit., I suspect the hotels in the Luxury Privileges program are now in the Stars program.
And ... I wish there was a way to book these online. Are there any TA's who have set up an easy system to book these? There must be a rate code that we can use in the Marriott website.
Some of the hotels in the Luminous program offering the $100 credit are routine business hotels I sometimes stay in and I'd love to take advantage of it. But ... using a TA for a one night stay isn't a good use of time for either of us. And notably the TA in that link wants a $50 booking fee unless its $1500 stay.
