I need to book a Heathrow hotel for an early T3 departure late-July and had such high hopes for this new T2 opening. For a quick layover night, I'm not so troubled by the flooding shower (although I agree this is SUCH a stupid design flaw) but the reports of the new paint smell concern me. I've never done a LHR overnight, so would be curious to know if, for an early T3 departure, you more experienced people would still prefer the Hilton T4, Crowne Plaza T4, or Sofitel T5, with the short Tube/Train to T3, over this new T2 HGI? Ease and quickness to T3 matter, but quality night's sleep matters more. Is one of these just overwhelmingly nicer, with not *too* much hassle to get to T3?
