This might seem kind of silly but I got declined for this exact reason once which was surprising. I straight up asked them what the income I put on my application was (since I suspected there might be a typo) and it appeared as though I'd dropped a 0. They were able to amend it and re-run the application after fixing it, which led to an approval. Maybe you want to double check that there weren't any typos with recon?
