Still entitled to all inclusions of upgraded room type?
SPG had a policy that if you’re upgraded to a room, you’re entitled to whatever that room type includes. Does that apply in the Marriott world too? Currently staying at a Greek Autograph collection property where all but the bottom two room categories include a choice of one meal a day (besides breakfast), a mixology class, a beach bag with sarongs, and upgraded service. Nothing was mentioned about those things at check-in and in an informal discussion later the front desk manager advised that those things are only included for people paying for that room type. I’m thankful for the upgrade and don’t want to dissuade them from upgrading people in the future, but curious if the only SPG policy around room inclusions still holds. Any idea?
